Creform Corporation, a manufacturer of products for material handling structures, has designed and produced a cart specifically aimed at assisting first responders at health care events. The company provided the engineering assistance, custom sizes and configuration to meet the challenge and provided fully assembled, ready-to-use carts.
The cart holds plastic bins of equipment and supplies to support events at employer sites and at public venues. The unit is built with clamped together plastic-coated steel pipe and metal joints. Higher capacity and custom cart sizes and configurations could be possible with the Creform system of 28 mm, 32 mm and 42 mm plastic coated steel pipes and metal joints. They could be configured for ESD (anti-static) applications.
The cart features one large compartment area that could provide damage free handling and easy load/unload. The cart features a durable and low-friction plastic floor and two doors that lock close in order to capture the load and to swing wide for access.
It features six 8-in. diameter swivel casters with rubber wheels for easy, stable and safe movement. Two casters are fixed for steering control while two of the four swivels feature brakes that can be engaged to lock the cart in place. The cart also features large ring bumpers on each corner for further protection of the load and cart and a push/pull handle at one end of the cart positioned for proper ergonomics to facilitate easy movement and can hold up to 500 lbs.
A variety of pipe color options are reportedly available as well as upgrade hitches for AGV delivery. Accessories include hooks, label holders for shelf levels or even shelf positions, writing surface with clip boards to name a few.
