Larson Electronics Releases Explosion-Proof Thermostat, 6-Foot 16/3 SOOW Cord, 120/240V AC

Larson Electronics, a Texas-based company with over 40 years of experience spearheading the industrial lighting and equipment sectors, announced the release of an explosion-proof thermostat for use in Class I, Division 1 hazardous locations. This thermostat is adjustable, using a set point knob system that is powered by an SPDT snap action switch. This unit comes equipped with a 6-foot 16/3 SOOW cord, terminated in an explosion-proof cord cap.

The EXP-TSTAT-120.240-86F-6C-EPP explosion-proof thermostat is rated for use in Class I, Divisions 1 and 2, Groups C and D; Class I, Zones 1 and 2, Groups IIA and IIB; Class II, Division 1, Groups E, F and G; Class II, Division 2, Groups F and G; and Class III hazardous locations. This thermostat offers operators a way to accurately control temperatures for heating, cooling and ventilation systems in hazardous locations. This device features an SPDT snap action switch and operates on 120-240V AC (max).

Larson Electronics’ explosion-proof thermostat offers a temperature range of 36˚F to 82˚F (2˚C to 28˚C) and is made of precision die-cast and corrosion-resistant components. This unit does not contain any exposed copper, brass or mercury for added safety and must be positioned five feet above the floor when mounting. This unit comes with 6 feet of 16/3 SOOW cord, terminated in an explosion-proof cord cap. Suitable applications include chemical plants, storage areas, and more.
