Combi-CS Pedestrian Counterbalance Stacker
Combilift’s Combi-CS model represents a further move by the multidirectional forklift specialist into the pedestrian operated truck sector. With a load capacity of 1000kg @ 500mm, this walk behind counterbalance design stacker shares many of the innovative features of the Combi-WR and Combi-WR4 Walkie Reach ranges.
Thanks to its very compact dimensions and in combination with Combilift’s patented multi-position tiller arm, the Combi-CS can work in the smallest operating aisles for a machine of its type and lift capacity. It can operate efficiently with 1,200mm deep pallets in aisles as narrow as 2,400mm.
The multi-position tiller arm offers major benefits in terms of smooth fingertip control and safety. It also enables the operator to drive and steer the unit from either side and avoids the operator having to position him/herself between the racking and the unit.
This small and versatile stacker was developed to enhance health and safety procedures in areas where personnel may be present, such as in production areas of manufacturing plants: it can feed the lines with products with much less risk to other operatives compared with ride-on trucks. It will also be of particular benefit to retail outlets and back of store where not only employees but also, the general public may be present.
As well as offering excellent manoeuvrability to work in areas where space is at a premium, it can also block stack standard pallets for space saving storage. Low effort AC power steering and a display unit fitted on the tiller arm for monitoring by the operator are further advantages.
The length of the unit from the back of the forks is just 1050mm, the width totals 890mm and a range of fork lengths is available – with standard forks the overall length is 2120mm. The standard 2.5m high visibility mast, which comes with mast tilt as standard, is also available in a range of options and is removable for easy transportation. The powerful high capacity 375Ah battery guarantees constant availability even throughout long shifts, with a roll out battery for quick and easy changing.
“Where possible and depending on the loads to be handled, there is a growing preference for pedestrian trucks due to the reduced risk that they pose,” said Combilift MD Martin McVicar. “Lower costs and quick and easy operator training are further attractions for customers. Following the success of the Combi-WR range we have launched the Combi-CS – for which we expect considerable take up.”
