Clark Material Handling Company Again Ranks Among Top Ten Global Forklift Manufacturers

ForkliftCLARK Material Handling Company was once again recognized as a top-ten global manufacturer of forklift trucks and spare parts for 2018. Material Handling & Logistics magazine (MHL) conducted the annual survey ranking global manufacturers by revenue.

According to MHL, ranked suppliers provide some of the leading material handling technologies and vehicles used worldwide by companies to manage their warehouses and distribution centers – many are at the forefront of developing and promoting the latest in forklift technologies.

2018 marked the fourth straight year that forklift sales have reached an all-time high, with 260,180 units sold in 2018 – topping the previous benchmark of 253,146 units set in 2017.

According to the International Trucking Association’s data, electric and internal combustion truck sales grew at a rate of 2.8% and 2.7%, respectively. Overall, electric products accounted for nearly two-thirds (64%) of the market.

“As competition in the forklift market increases, this recognition of our team’s global efforts demonstrates our commitment to quality, durability and cutting-edge technology,” noted Scott Johnson, Vice President of Marketing and Sales at CLARK Material and Handling Company.

Based in Lexington Kentucky, CLARK Material Handling Company, in addition to being credited with “inventing” the forklift sector, has been a supplier of forklifts for over 100 years. Privately held, the company’s annual revenues in 2018 were $790 million.

“Throughout all of the products we develop, test and manufacture, we continue to keep our end-customers in mind, striving to deliver to them the highest quality products to help manage all of their material handling needs,” added Scott Johnson.
