Diversified Plastics INC. Introduces New Robotic Cell

Diversified Plastics Inc., an international rotational molder based out of Latta, S.C., introduced its new robotic cell. This robotic cell machine was created by Advanced Integration Technology, LLC. and its function is to assist in the trimming processes at Diversified Plastics Rotomolding plant. The capabilities of the robotic cell allow the trimming to be done safely and more efficiently with less scrap. This manufacturing process can be dangerous, so the robots can complete this in a safer and quicker manner than a human.

This robot has the ability to auto adjust to accommodate multiple shaped plastic parts at different dimensions, allowing the robot to assist in the production of many different rotational molds.
“The new robotic cell helps us to manufacture our plastic products more efficiently and safely, as well as allowing us to expand our plastic product lines.” said Tommy Wallace, president of Diversified Plastics.
