ORBIS Corporation Announces its Multitank Reusable Bulk Container
ORBIS Corporation announced it offers the Multitank™ reusable storage and transport container. The 400-liter conical, watertight intermediate bulk container (IBC) is designed to improve the way products are packaged, stored and transported in bulk. It can be used in a variety of industries, including food and beverage, pharmaceutical and bulk powder solids and liquids.
The Multitank is an efficient reusable container designed to reduce packaging costs and optimize storage space. The unique conical design makes it nestable when empty, and the robust construction makes it stackable when full — resulting in a 6:1 return ratio. Additionally, the pallet feet holders stabilize the container when stacked, without the need for any additional materials, such as wooden dividers or stretch films. Together, these advantages make it an alternative to drums, IBC tanks and other single-use containers.
“The Multitank is an innovative, cost-efficient and space-saving IBC container that works across a variety of industries,” said Bob Klimko, market development director for ORBIS Corporation. “When compared to other single-use IBCs or drums, the Multitank offers a conical design that makes it nestable and stackable, saving up to 75 percent storage space.”
With several distinct lid design features — 100% watertight and airtight for a reliable seal — Multitank ensures product integrity. The container also is designed to package any kind of product without using additional liner bags. And in addition to waste reduction, the Multitank can decrease carbon dioxide emissions by thousands of kilograms, when compared with alternative IBC containers.
The features of the Multitank include safety pins, a pressure relief valve and security locking points to make handling easy, safe and fast. Optional components can be added to the container, including various wheel sizes and types, plastic valves, safety seals and special gaskets, to meet a variety of specific needs. Additional benefits include:
- Integrated UV protection so the container can be stored outside
- Radio frequency identification placeholder to ensure traceability
- Lid design that allows for easy access during stacking
- Smooth corners and surfaces with dedicated labeling spots
