Automate Cargo Handling For Faster Distribution, Labor Savings
Madras, OR, November 21, 2016—Streamline the material flow in warehouse/distribution operations using the Freight Runner™ Conveyor by KEITH. Installed inside a trailer, the durable chain-rail conveying system improves product throughput, reduces cargo damage and optimizes available warehouse resources.
This automated hydraulic system offers fast loading and unloading, eliminating the need of a pallet jack for moving pallets or unitized loads. The conveyor replaces the standard, manual distribution process that includes a forklift operator and an employee inside the trailer using a pallet jack, which is a time consuming process. Cargo, trailer and equipment damage are also reduced, because forklifts never enter the trailer.
With the Freight Runner™ Conveyor, once a forklift positions the cargo during the loading process, the system automatically indexes it toward the front of the trailer making room for the next load. Unloading is just as simple. A full-sized semi trailer can load or unload in as little as two minutes.
Retrofitting existing trailers is an option, with installation a quick and easy process. The system can easily move up to 30 ton and tolerates cool temperatures, making it a good choice for use in cold storage facilities and refrigeration trailers. Systems can also easily be mounted to an existing dock, creating seamless cargo transfer between dock and trailer.
