Malta Dynamics Offers New Type II Rated Safety Helmet

Malta Dynamics is proud to announce its new low-profile, Type II safety helmet. This helmet ensures the protection of workers from impacts that occur from the side or rear as well as the top of the helmet, meeting all ANSI Z89.1-2014 Type II Class C standards.

According to owner and CEO of Malta Dynamics, Damian Lang, building a helmet that is comfortable was equally important to meeting safety standards.

“In 2020, more than 35,000 workers suffered head injuries, and no helmet was used in about 84 percent of those cases. A helmet is only useful if it is worn,” said Lang. “We knew we had to design a helmet that is comfortable to wear all day and eliminate the reasons workers might take their helmets off.  This helps ensure they wear their helmets as often as possible — only then will they be protected when they need it.”

The new helmet has many features to guarantee wearer comfort, as well as safety, and can be customized to meet worker needs. The innovative low-profile design with six-point suspension system sits lower and gently conforms to the head which increases comfort while also providing better coverage from impacts.

The ratcheting head band and adjustable chin straps secure the helmet to hold it in place in case of falls or sudden movements, both ensuring protection of the wearer as well as preventing the helmet from becoming a hazard to those below.

Fixed side vents provide air circulation while optional clear or tinted anti-scratch visors provide additional protection from the sun, wind and debris. The visors provide a fog-free alternative to safety glasses. The new helmet is offered in highlighter yellow, white, black, gray, blue, red, and orange and is available for pre-order.
