Quadient CVP Automated Packaging Solutions

The CVP Automated Packaging Solutions by Quadient are fully integrated, inline auto-boxing technologies that create right-sized custom boxes dynamically to optimize all steps of package fulfillment.

The CVP Impack and CVP Everest Automated Packaging Solutions create fit-to-size boxes by measuring, constructing, sealing, weighing and labeling each custom order.

Features of these solutions include:

CVP Impack for Increased Efficiencies

  • Packages up to 500 parcels per hour or one parcel every seven seconds;
  • Packages hard or soft single- or multi-item orders;
  • Auto-box up to 3 different brands;
  • Uses only one operator, but dual induct station is available for increased efficiency;
  • Replaces 8-16 manual packaging stations at a time, greatly reducing labor costs;
  • Reduces parcel volume anywhere from 20 – 50 percent as it creates the smallest parcel necessary for lower DIM weight and a better environmental impact; and
  • Minimizes or eliminates void fill usage to optimize sustainability efforts.

CVP Everest for High Speed Fulfillment & Maximum Flexibility

  • Packages up to 1,100 parcels per hour or one parcel every three seconds;
  • Packages hard or soft single- or multi-item orders;
  • Uses two operators for the dual induct station to maximum throughputs;
  • Replaces up to 20 manual packaging stations at a time, greatly reducing labor costs;
  • Reduces parcel volume anywhere from 20 – 50 percent as it creates the smallest parcel necessary for lower DIM weight and a better environmental impact; and
  • Minimizes or eliminates void fill usage to optimize sustainability efforts.

Benefits of the CVP Automated Packaging Solutions:

  • Combats labor constraints: by only requiring one or two operators, the CVP combats several labor issues, including turnover rates or space constraints, the increasingly unpredictable peak periods, and the lack of labor reliability. The CVP solutions seek to eliminate these issues, coupled with the continued dramatic increase of e-commerce, to ensure optimized package fulfillment;
  • Reduces shipping volume: the CVP lowers shipping costs and DIM weight charges by reducing box volume, meaning fewer truckloads and less transportation costs; and
  • Lowers materials spent: by creating the smallest parcel necessary, less material and no void fill is used, allowing for a more environmentally-friendly parcel and material cost savings.
