The Pilot General Purpose Knee Boot Style #31341 is a full safety boot with several unique features. This style features Tingley’s Calf Relief Expansion (CRE)™, which expands up to 1.5 inches to provide extra room in the calf. The steel toe meets ASTM F2413 M I/75 C/75 for toe impact and compression and the boot is electric hazard (EH) rated. The injection molded, seamless construction provides 100% waterproof protection, while the self-cleaning, cleated outsole provides good traction on a variety of indoor and outdoor surfaces.
Most importantly, this boot contains a flexible steel midsole that spans the entire footbed from side to side and from heel to toe and that meets ASTM F2413 PR requirements to reduce risks from sharp objects under foot. All puncture injuries are extremely dangerous and are inherently dirty wounds that can lead to infection or tetanus. “An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure and if you’re working in areas where there’s a risk of foot punctures, it makes sense to protect yourself”, said McCollum.
