A+A 2023 Sets Standards for Safe and Healthy Work
A+A 2023, the world’s leading Trade Fair for Safety, Security and Health at Work, closed after four exciting days with impressive results in Düsseldorf, Germany. With the slogan “Inspirations for a better Work Environment”, the trade fair set new standards and seamlessly continued the success of its previous events.
A total of 2,200 exhibitors from 58 nations presented their products and innovations in 12, halls, covering more than 80,300 square meters. Around 62,000 trade visitors from 140 countries attended the event to obtain information on all relevant topics relating to the world of work. A notable 96.4 percent of the attendees confirmed that the expectations of their visit were more than met.
This time, the focus was on two of the most important megatrends: digitization and sustainability. Particularly noteworthy were the innovations in the field of digitization in the work environment, which were presented for the first time at the trade fair. Smart wearables and PPE, order apps for hazardous materials management, AI-based health coaches as well as virtual reality applications and exoskeletons are examples of technologies that lead the world of work into a digital and sustainable direction. These developments not only support workplace safety but also help to increase efficiency and create healthier work environments.
The 38th Basi International Congress on Occupational Safety and Health, attracting around 3,000 congress delegates, focused on future topics such as artificial intelligence and the consequences of climate change. As a leading international specialist event, it presented national and global political advances and prevention strategies such as “Vision Zero” as well as occupational science findings from application-oriented research.
At the WearRAcon Europe conference, the European edition of the WearRAcon conference in Arizona, which took place for the first time at A+A 2023, experts from research and development as well as companies presented and discussed innovations and trends in the field of exoskeleton technology.
Exciting forums and events such as the Corporate Fashion Show, which took place four times daily, complemented the varied trade fair program. On the A+A Catwalk renowned PPE manufacturers presented the latest fashion trends designed for a younger generation of employees who, in addition to functionality and sustainability, also want to have aesthetically appealing garments and express their personal style.
The Start-up Zone not only provided an exhibition space for young and innovative companies, but also an exceptional networking platform to connect with top occupational health and safety decision makers.
A special feature at A+A 2023 was again the successful North American Pavilion, organized by Messe Düsseldorf North America. Overall, 44 U.S. companies showcased their products at the trade fair.
The next A+A will be held from November 4 – 7, 2025 in Düsseldorf, Germany.
