Dorner Exhibiting its Packaging, Automation and Sanitary Conveyors in Booth C-1455 at PACK EXPO 2021
Dorner is demonstrating how the flexibility of its FlexMove Helix and Wedge conveyors can move product on tight turns around existing equipment in booth C-1455 at PACK EXPO 2021, Sept. 27-29, at the Las Vegas Convention Center, Las Vegas, Nevada.
The FlexMove flexible chain conveyor platform is designed for effective horizontal and vertical product movement on a continuous run driven by a single gearmotor when floor space is limited.
FlexMove Helix Conveyors reportedly allow for tight turns and a small footprint, providing facilities with greater flexibility in layout for applications such as accumulation, buffering, cooling product and more. The FlexMove Helix Conveyor’s infeed and outfeed can be positioned at any height or angle; custom infeed and outfeed lengths allow the conveyor to extend beyond the spiral, reducing the number of conveyors required.
The Helix Wedge conveys product by gripping both of its sides to move it in a smooth, efficient manner. Helix conveyors feature continuous 360-degree turns for moving product up or down in a vertical space.
Show attendees can see the FlexMove Helix and Wedge conveyors, along with a 3200 Series Modular Belt conveyor, demonstrating its abilities on a continuously operating packaging loop.
A second operating loop highlighting Dorner’s sanitary platforms, including an AquaPruf VBT, as well as two AquaGard conveyors (LPZ and Modular Belt), will be on display.
The AquaPruf VBT (Vertical Belt Technology) Conveyor, which is designed to move bulk products in straight-up 90-degree sanitary applications, features a proprietary staggered sidewall belt designed to increase pocket capacity and improve product release. The AquaGard LPZ Conveyor is designed with one or two fixed angle points that allow the conveyor to accommodate a variety of height and angle requirements.
Finally, the AquaGard Modular Belt Conveyor features a center bearing to eliminate friction. It can carry a heavier load and allows four curves to be driven by a single motor, which saves valuable floor space as the conveyor can make tight turns around existing machinery and equipment without being hindered by extra motors.
