This year’s $5,000 scholarship winner is Dominique Quellar, a high school senior at Northbrook High School in Houston, Texas.

Dominique Quellar is an exemplary scholarship winner, driven by a deep commitment to her education and career goals. Despite facing significant financial challenges, she has remained determined to pursue a college degree in accounting. Accepted into the University of Houston’s business program, she plans to become a certified public accountant (CPA), dedicating herself to her studies and her family’s well-being. Her resilience, work ethic, passion for accounting, and proactive efforts to gain practical experience make her an outstanding scholarship winner.

At Northbrook High School, she is a member of various organizations, including the Science Club and the National Honor Society. She also works at Subway and has balanced work and studies while maintaining a top 1 percent rank in her class. Dominique has been awarded the National First-Generation Recognition Program for Outstanding Academic Achievement, the National Hispanic Recognition Program for Outstanding Academic Achievement, the Rodeo Houston Art Award of Excellence, and more.

She was surprised at her high school and presented with a large check by Mitsubishi Logisnext Americas. The company also offered her free tickets to enjoy a night at the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo™.

Giving back to the local Houston community through education is important to Mitsubishi Logisnext Americas. The scholarship program honors an outstanding Houston-area high school senior interested in pursuing a four-year degree related to the material handling industry. Over the years, the Cat Lift Trucks Scholarship Program has awarded $145,000 in educational assistance to 29 Houston area students.
