Pineberry’s Tarique Walters Named a Winner of PMMI’s 2019 On The Rise Awards

Tarique Walters, Electro Mechanical Technician at Pineberry Manufacturing Inc., recognized as a 2019 winner of PMMI’s On The Rise Awards

Pineberry Manufacturing’s Tarique Walters was honored as a winner, alongside eleven other young professionals, of the On The Rise Awards at the 2019 PMMI Annual Meeting in Cincinnati, Ohio on November 4th, 2019.

The On The Rise Awards were developed by PMMI’s Emerging Leaders Committee and are intended to recognize ‘rising stars’ in packaging and processing. The winners are individuals who have demonstrated excellent leadership qualities and show potential for continued success in the industry.

Tarique Walters began working at Pineberry Manufacturing Inc. in 2015 after graduating with a diploma in Automation and Robotics Technology from Centennial College in Toronto, Ontario. He quickly obtained an understanding of the various systems and solutions that Pineberry provides to the packaging industry.

“Tarique’s knowledge has been incredibly valuable and he has demonstrated leadership qualities in his role at Pineberry since day one,” states Daniel LaForce, Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Pineberry Manufacturing Inc. “In addition to enhancing Pineberry’s understanding and use of PLC Programming, he has also shown strength in the way that he works with clients both on-site in the field and here at our production facility.”

In his role as a Electro Mechanical Technician, Tarique has exhibited his ability to handle various situations during the design and manufacturing stage internally, while also having the capability to work directly with clients at different company levels, from senior management to operators during the start-up phase.
