Record Exhibitor and Visitor Participation at Ciosh 2021 in Shanghai
The recent staging of CIOSH, China International Occupational Safety & Health Goods Expo 2021, concluded with record participation at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre (SNICE). Jointly organized by the China Textile Commerce Association (CTCA) and Messe Düsseldorf (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. (MDS), CIOSH 2021 attracted 1,565 exhibitors, the largest number since its start in 1966.
Under strict hygienic measures of the organizers, a total of 35,898 trade visitors attended the 3-day event, an increase of 43.6 percent compared to CIOSH 2019.
CIOSH 2021 also worked with Alibaba 1688 Industrial Market Platform, the largest B2B platform in China, to create an online platform – CIOSH Cloud, which live-streamed the event to those who could not be there in person. The live broadcast recorded a total of 19,213 views.
During CIOSH 2021, the 1,565 exhibitors from 13 countries and regions presented their most advanced technologies and equipment, covering five main areas: Safety at Work, Security at Work, Health at Work, Emergency Rescue Techniques & Equipment and Anti-pandemic Supplies. In addition to local exhibitors, overseas exhibitors also participated in the event via their Chinese subsidiaries or agents.
CIOSH focuses on the latest industry trends and is committed to building the best platform for the exchange of information and best practice. For the first time, a Special Zone for Fall Protection was set up in Hall E5 with professional demonstrations of rope climbing and high-altitude rescues.
On April 15, industry professionals were online for the Global PPE Industry Round Table Webinar. Seven PPE industry experts from China and abroad shared their insights into the opportunities and challenges of the global PPE market during the COVID-19 pandemic.
In addition, the second Epidemic Prevention & Response Event (EPRE) was successfully held at CIOSH 2021, providing positive and effective solutions for companies to export quality protective equipment in the post-pandemic era.
The next CIOSH will be held at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre (SNIEC) from April 7 – 9, 2022. The next event in Messe Düsseldorf’s portfolio will be A+A, the world leading trade fair for safety, security and health at work, to take place from October 26 – 29 at the fairgrounds in Düsseldorf, Germany.
