Our Products
Sumitomo Machinery Corporation of America offers a comprehensive lineup of premier power transmission products to keep customers’ operations performing at their best. This includes the broadest range of speed reducers, gearmotors and large industrial gearboxes that are the most reliable and highest quality available. Our Cyclo® products provide customers with enormous flexibility and reliability for their applications. The revolutionary Hyponic® gives customers high-efficiency performance in a compact design with hypoid gear technology. The Paramax® product family provides industrial customers with efficient and reliable gearboxes designed for years of trouble-free service. Sumitomo Seisa and Hansen gearboxes offer high speed gear units, vertical and horizontal mill drives, large planetary units, and a range of metric series gear couplings.

Our Product Support
Sumitomo Drive Technologies’ Product Support focuses on preventive maintenance services, troubleshooting and repairs for gearboxes and gearmotors. Standard services include: Gearbox repairs—scheduled and emergency, Field Services, Root Cause Investigations, Commissioning and Start-up Services, Customized Training Programs—including onsite training availability, Inspection Reports, and Warranty Services.

The success of Sumitomo Drive Technologies’ products over the decades has brought the brand a reputation for quality and reliability among customers. The team of people behind those products has been just as important. It is the expertise and passion of a diverse workforce that has enabled our company to continually respond to customers’ changing needs. North and South American professional Sales teams respond to customer inquiries and assist them in selecting the right product for their application. In-house product and application engineering teams supporting our U.S., Canadian and South American facilities, help select units and design complete drive packages for specific requirements. Highly trained customer service representatives and technical specialists assist with orders, respond to inquires and provide additional product information. We constantly strive not only to meet our customers’ needs, but to also improve our technology and performance. Our quality assurance team ensures that processes are in place to consistently meet or exceed our customers’ expectations. Sumitomo is committed to delivering quality products and services at every stage of the process. We achieve this by implementing and measuring our quality performance both internally and throughout our supplier base. As an ISO 9001 certified facility, our U.S. headquarters in Chesapeake, VA has been recognized for our commitment to quality standards and continuous improvement. Also at our headquarters facility, our engineering staff includes a research and development team and lab where we work to uncover new levels of performance, reliability and quality.
