Toshiba’s Rick Havacko Wins International Gold Stevie Award

Toshiba America Business Solutions‘ communications leader Rick Havacko secures the Gold Stevie® Award in The 2024 International Business Awards® for Communications Professional of the Year.

The International Business Awards are the world’s premier business awards program. All individuals and organizations worldwide – public and private, for-profit and non-profit, large and small – are eligible to submit nominations. The 2024 IBAs received entries from organizations in 62 nations and territories. More than 3,600 nominations from organizations of all sizes and in virtually every industry were submitted this year for consideration.

Under Havacko’s leadership, Toshiba has notched a noteworthy amount of positive editorial coverage across the United States and Brazil while outperforming industry heavyweights. Toshiba’s coverage numbers 32.16 billion total readers since January 1, 2022. Moreover, Toshiba’s ad equivalency – the amount it would pay in corresponding ad space – relating to editorial coverage equals $110.2M during that timeframe.

Upon the beginning of 2022, Rick’s efforts further enabled Toshiba to dominate its counterparts in Brazilian editorial coverage and ad equivalency as the company netted a 98 percent editorial share of voice in Brazil. This equates to $49.42M if Toshiba were to advertise in outlets that wrote about the company. Rick is also responsible for publicizing 12 awards Toshiba people and products won since 2022.
