VPPPA Announces Charity Campaign

The Voluntary Protection Programs Participants’ Association (VPPPA) is teaming up with the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) to raise awareness about mental health and the resources that are available to those in need. The Winter 2020 issue of VPPPA’s quarterly award-winning magazine, the Leader, will focus on mental health in the workplace, shining a spotlight on a topic that affects every worker, everywhere.

VPPPA has decided to make the Leader’s Winter 2020 issue available for purchase as a stand-alone issue at a rate of $5. All proceeds will be matched by VPPPA, up to $5,000, and donated to NAMI.

“We are committed to being a major part of the overall solution and are excited to work together with NAMI. Through the power of partnerships and focused collaboration, anything is possible. Mental health in the workplace is not invisible. It takes all of us to shed light in this regard. We need to help,” said J.A. Rodriguez Jr., Chairman of the Board at VPPPA.

The Winter 2020 issue of the Leader magazine includes eight feature articles. Some of the topics included are suicide in the construction industry, coping with PTSD, how to help your employees cope with mental health, and more.

VPPPA is encouraging everyone to join this important cause by purchasing multiple copies of this issue of the Leader for distribution at their worksites. Let’s help spread the word about mental health, and by doing so, support NAMI in offering resources to those in need.
