Ultra Lightweight Boots for Adults and Youths

Tingley Rubber Corporation, a leading supplier of protective footwear and clothing, is expanding its line of ultra lightweight boots. “In keeping with the desires of our customers for lightweight, anti-fatigue, and comfortable footwear, we are expanding our Airgo™ footwear line to include new colors and new sizes for youths”, said Robert N. Petersen, Senior Product Manager for Tingley Rubber.

The new styles include an adult unisex boot in US men’s sizes from 6 through 13 and youth boots in sizes 13 through 5. The adult boot is available in black, while the youth boots are offered in black and navy.

Don’t let the ultra lightweight fool you. These boots are durable, tear resistant and long-lasting. The walls of the boot are flexible and will stay supple in cold to ensure comfort while walking and bending. General purpose cleated treads provide good traction on a variety of surfaces including grass, mud, gravel and concrete. The boots come with a removable, triple layered insole that wicks perspiration, promotes faster drying and is contoured and cushioned to absorb shock for all day comfort.

Made using the same materials that provide midsole cushioning in athletic footwear, Airgo boots are up to 70% lighter than other rubber and PVC boots, are super comfortable and provide 100% waterproof protection. Petersen added, “Our customers have told us that they love Airgo boots for jobs around the house including walking the dog, gardening, and cutting the grass.” Airgo boots are also practical for large scale agricultural operations, fisheries and aquaculture, food processing, and other light industrial applications.

Another interesting feature of the Airgo boots is their remarkable self-insulating properties. According to Petersen, “Similar to how Styrofoam® cups and coolers work, millions of tiny air bubbles trapped within the material are self-insulating to keep feet warmer in the cold and cooler in the heat.”
