Ansell Limited announced it has acquired Ringers Gloves, a leading premium glove brand in the oil and gas industry with headquarters in Houston, Texas.

Founded in 1996, with headquarters in Houston, Texas, Ringers Gloves’ main focus has been creating high performing, task-specific work gloves that advance hand safety technology. Ringers gloves are uniquely designed for use in demanding environments and applications and the company has a track record of introducing customer-focused, innovative new products to meet unique customer and industry needs.

Ringers Gloves also offer value add programs such as work site assessments to help their customers achieve compliance goals and improve their safety records. Ringers Gloves recently expanded into specialty glove segments and acquired Valeo Technologies, LLC, including Valeo Safety Performance Workwear, which has further expanded their offering and position globally.

This is a great opportunity to acquire a top specialty hand protection provider with a leading position in the oil and gas sector and allows Ansell the expansion in the specialty, thermal and impact protection segment, in addition to enhancing our position in the oil & gas industry. The acquisition also serves as another step in building Ansell’s overall hand protection business, especially for oil & gas workers, as part of the Ansell Industrial Global Business Unit.

The Ringers acquisition provides a highly complementary suite of industry leading impact protection products to the Ansell portfolio. Ansell will combine the Ringers Gloves offering with Ansell’s Guardian® application and 125 years of industry expertise to advances worker protection and productivity for industrial customers around the world.

Initially, Ringers will continue to operate as a standalone entity to support customers’ needs and expectations.
