More than 12,000 safety, health and environmental professionals are expected in Denver, Colorado in September for the NSC Safety Congress & Expo at the Denver Convention Center. Professional Development Seminars run from Sept. 12-14 and 17-18 while the Congress (Educational Sessions, Meetings, Events and More) & Expo is Sept. 15-17.
For more than a century, the NSC Safety Congress & Expo has helped safety professionals expand their knowledge, learn about the latest solutions and technology in their fields and form valuable partnerships by networking with colleagues.
EDUCATION
This year’s NSC Safety Congress & Expo offers 130+ educational opportunities ranging from introductory to advanced. These include professional development seminars, keynote presentations, and technical and learning lab sessions. All are designed to help safety professionals take their careers to the next level, with up-to-date information and skill building that will make them more effective in their roles.
Learning sessions range from foundational (i.e., Principles of Occupational Safety & Health, Fundamentals of Industrial Hygiene) to those covering current concerns (i.e. Mitigating Workplace Violence: A Layered Approach to Safety and Security, Where Technology and Culture Meet: Lessons in Using AI to Engage and Develop Safety Leaders).
The specific topics covered in sessions will send attendees away with actionable knowledge that they can use to enhance the workplaces for which they are responsible. A sample of the educational sessions shows the variety of subjects that will be covered at 2025 NSC Safety Congress & Expo:

Attendees are eligible to earn Continuing Education Units (CEUs), Continuance of Certification and Certification Maintenance Credits. Professionals may also be awarded CEUs for NSC division meetings that meet certain criteria. The entire course must be completed in order to be eligible for CEUs. Up to 1.5 recertification credits may be earned by attending the Full Congress & Expo.
KEYNOTE SPEAKERS
Decision-Making to Win at the Game of Life
Monday, September 15: Opening Session, 8 a.m. – 9:30 a.m.
Four-time Olympian Chaunté Lowe uses stories from her own experiences as an athlete and breast cancer survivor, engaging activities, and empowering exercises to equip yourself with an arsenal of tools to support impeccable decision-making to give audience members tools to support good-decision making.
Campbell Institute Forum
Monday, September 15: 10:30 a.m. – 12 p.m.
From Reactive to Proactive: Advancing EHS Performance Through Leading Indicators ASTM Standards.
EHS leaders and innovators will discuss strategies for transforming workplace safety. Lagging metrics, leading indicators and the evolving role of ASTM standards in establishing SIF classification criteria will be among the topics covered.
Engaged, Aligned, Accountable: The Road to Enterprise-Wide Safety
Tuesday, September 16: 10 a.m. – 11:30 a.m.
Brian Fielkow, EVP – Risk Resources, Acrisure will share strategies for ensuring enterprise-wide commitment to safety. Attendees will learn how to identify and bridge the gaps between employee groups and the organization’s safety commitment and get strategies for effective C-level engagement.

Experience entertainment and picturesque views at the Denver Botanic Gardens at the Green Cross Celebration while helping raise funds to advance safety and health and wellness in the workplace. The 2025 Green Cross for Safety award winners will be honored at the event.
