Cajun Industries Selects STUDSON Full Brim Safety Helmet for Its Workforce

Cajun Industries, LLC, a nationally recognized construction leader providing services across diverse and demanding markets, has selected the STUDSON SHK-1 Full Brim safety helmet as its new standard for head protection for its more than 3,500 employees. The decision follows extensive research and comprehensive pilot programs designed to identify the most advanced head protection technology available for the Cajun Industries workforce.

The transition from Type I hard hats to the Type II SHK-1 represents a fundamental shift in its head protection philosophy. The previously used Type I hard hat, which served as the standard for Cajun Industries for decades, primarily protects against objects striking the crown of a person’s head. This type of head protection offers minimal, if any, protection to the front, rear, and sides of the head. In contrast, the SHK-1 Full Brim is an ANSI/ISEA Z89.1 Type II standard-compliant safety helmet designed to withstand impact tests to the front, rear, and sides of the head, providing comprehensive protection that addresses more workplace hazards.
