J. J. Keller Announces 2025 Safety Professional of the Year Award Winners

Three safety leaders recognized for outstanding contributions to workplace safety

J.J. Keller & Associates, Inc., a leading provider of safety and regulatory compliance solutions across North America, announced the winners of the 2025 J. J. Keller Safety Professional of the Year (SPOTY) Awards. The annual SPOTY awards recognize outstanding safety professionals who demonstrate leadership, innovation and measurable impact in advancing workplace safety during their careers.

Award Categories & Winners

The 2025 SPOTY winners were selected by a panel of judges from J. J. Keller’s staff of safety and compliance experts, through an extensive nomination, application and interview process. The winners represent three distinct company sizes:

• Small Business Category (<200 employees)

O’Shane Lewis, Safety & Compliance Coordinator, Harry Chapin Food Bank of Southwest Florida. Harry Chapin Food Bank, a Feeding America partner food bank, is the largest hunger-relief organization in Southwest Florida;

• Medium Business Category (200–5,000 employees)

Nicholas Dufek, Director of Health Safety & Security, Neenah Foundry, Neenah, Wisconsin. Neenah Foundry proudly produces cast iron infrastructure products in the USA, delivering reliable solutions to municipalities and construction markets nationwide; and

• Large Business Category (>5,000 employees)

Patrick Flynn, Vice President of Operations Training and Development, Groundworks. Groundworks is North America’s leading provider of foundation repair, basement waterproofing, crawl space encapsulation, and concrete lifting.

Each winner will receive a prize package valued at up to $47,200, including a donation to a nonprofit organization in their name, product and service subscriptions, and a commemorative award.

Keller on Monday, October 27 at 1 p.m. Central Daylight Time for a webcast where audience members will hear directly from the 2025 SPOTY Award winners and learn how their vision for safety has created excellence and set them apart in the eyes of the safety experts at J. J. Keller.
