Media Advisory: Doug Parker Press Event at Safety 2024 in Denver

WHAT:  OSHA’s Doug Parker, assistant secretary of labor for occupational safety and health, will present “An OSHA Update” at ASSP’s Safety 2024 in Denver and will take questions from the press in-person afterward. Safety 2024 is a workplace safety and health conference and exposition attended by thousands of professionals from around the world.

WHERE:  The special session with Parker will be held in the Mile High Ballroom at the Colorado Convention Center, 700 14th Street in Denver. The press event afterward will take place in Room 505.

WHEN:  The one-hour session will begin at 10:30 a.m. MT on Friday, Aug. 9, with the press event following at 11:45 a.m. MT.

WHY:  Parker will present OSHA’s latest activities to improve workplace safety nationwide, including updates on regulatory priorities, enforcement actions and outreach initiatives. The session will include a Q&A with questions submitted via text by attendees. Journalists should save their questions for the press event afterward that will last approximately 30 minutes. Parker will answer as many questions as possible during that allotted time.

HOW:  Press members receive complimentary full access to Safety 2024.
