Take the Hassle Out of Emergency Eyewash with Radians Simplified and Compliant Eyewash System

Leading PPE manufacturer Radians recently launched its new 12-gallon gravity-fed eyewash station (REW01112) and mobile drain cart (REWCART), making compliance and maintenance easier for safety pros who need this kind of vision protection at the job site.

Most safety pros would agree that the ANSI Z358.1 standard for emergency eyewash and shower equipment can be rather complicated because there are so many factors to consider beyond the product’s performance requirements.

“In addition to providing 15+ minutes of continuous flow and delivering at least 0.4 gallons of clean water per minute, Radians’ new 12-gallon portable emergency eyewash station is easy to inspect and service with MIN and MAX lines on a transparent manifold and a forward-facing fill access cap,” said Cindy Bullion-LaWarre, product manager, Radians.

Using the station along with Radians’ new mobile drain cart further simplifies maintenance.

“Wastewater flows directly from the station’s drain into the cart, which can then be rolled to a disposal area,” added Bullion-LaWarre. “The capped drain recessed at the bottom will also accommodate a standard water hose, providing an alternative option for emptying.”

The new station and drain cart are both designed to work with Radians’ eyewash stand (REWSTAND) that makes installation a snap and ensures ANSI-compliant height. The stand also allows for station relocation between job sites or when a hazard is moved within a facility.

“We think the market will respond well to our new eyewash system,” said Bill England, president, Radians. “In addition to simplified use, the 12-gallon station has a longer lasting active stream and lower cost than most other portable eyewash tanks in the marketplace.”

The REW01112 ships with bracketry for wall-mounting and an 8-ounce bottle of water preservative. It can also be used on a tabletop.
