Every March, America recognizes National Ladder Safety Month and Workplace Eye Wellness Month. Both initiatives bring awareness to the thousands of injuries that occur because of improper ladder usage or workers wearing incorrect protective eyewear.

According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), more than 300 people die from ladder-related accidents and thousands are seriously injured each year. These deaths and injuries can be prevented with correct ladder use.

According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics’ most recent Injuries, Illnesses, and Fatalities Report, there were 15,730 workplace eye injuries in 2020. Yet 90 percent of serious eye injuries can be prevented by wearing appropriate protective eyewear.
