What to Expect at the 2024 National Safety Council Congress & Expo
Learning experiences, connections and cutting-edge technologies await in Orlando, Sept. 13-19.
Exhibits, seminars, educational sessions and plenty of networking opportunities await those heading to Orlando in September for the 2024 National Safety Council Congress & Expo. The National Safety Council (NSC) promises that the event, which runs from September 13-19, 2024, will give attendees “the learning experiences, connections and cutting-edge technologies needed to navigate our ever-evolving industry.”
Per tradition, OSHA will announce its 2024 Top 10 Violations at the show.
And of course, hundreds of exhibits will be on display on the sprawling Expo floor.
EDUCATION
Learners can choose from introductory to advanced Technical and Educational Sessions. More than 100 of the one-hour-long sessions are scheduled, with topics ranging from emerging safety trends to case studies in safety. Both newcomers and seasoned professionals will find technical programs to meet their needs and interests.
Participants will be able to earn Continuing Education Credits by attending 20+ Professional Development Seminars, which will be held September 13-15 and September 18-19. The 20+ seminars provide hands-on, in-depth, career-advancing information. Seminar lengths range from a half day to four days long. Every PDS includes: Class materials and text books, a CEU certificate, lunch and beverage breaks.

Continuance of Certification and Certification Maintenance Credits are also available. Up to 1.5 recertification credits can be earned by those attending the full Congress & Expo.
NETWORKING
Opportunities to form business relationships and share perspectives and experiences with colleagues from all over the world are bountiful at the show. They include:
- NSC Division/Section Meetings: These allow employees of NSC member companies to learn about best practices, trends and regulatory updates that affect their industries.
- Green Cross Celebration: Epcot’s World Showcase Pavilion at Walt Disney World will be the site of this September 16 gathering, which will begin with a reception from 5:30-6:60, followed by dinner and a program from 6:30-8:45. The program will feature an auction and the Green Cross for Safety awards presentation. A dessert reception and fireworks show will cap off the evening. The Green Cross Celebration raises funds that enable the NSC to identifying leading safety concerns and create effective solutions for them, as well as advocating for safety at the federal and state level.
- National Awards Celebration: On Tuesday, Sept. 17, from 6-8 p.m. at the Rosen Centre Hotel, NSC award winners will be recognized and feted for their outstanding safety achievements. Cocktails and hors d’oeuvres will be served and the names of award recipients will be displayed on a large screen.
- NEW Safety Huddle area: Industry thought leaders will discuss crucial workplace topics in the Safety Huddle area. Construction and utilities, young professionals, women in safety and transportation will all be explored.
- The NEW Time Out Cafe is a great place to relax. Scheduled meet ups will also be held there.
EXHIBITS
Exhibitors from all around the world will be on hand to display and demonstrate their products and services. In addition to getting to see products in action, attendees can get their questions answered by experts. There are two specialized areas in the exhibit hall:
- Cutting edge innovations will be on display in the 10th annual New Product Showcase.
- Companies who are making their Congress debut will show their solutions in the First Look Exhibitor Pavilion.
