Trends, Solutions and Hot Topics: MODEX 2024 Has it All

A preview of MODEX 2024.

Hear from industry experts and rub elbows with other supply chain professionals at MODEX 2024, March 11-14 at the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta. Billed as “The Complete Supply Chain Ecosystem,” MODEX 2024 has an intriguing lineup of keynote speakers, 150+ educational sessions, 1,000+ exhibitors and an evening of hors d’oeuvres and entertainment that comes with a chance to win a dream vacation for two.

THE KEYNOTE SPEAKERS

Bill Seeward, President, UPS Supply Chain Solutions, who will discuss: Lessons Learned from the Supply Chain Front Line. MODEX promises an “authentic and thought-provoking discussion about leadership, strategy and excellence,” along with Seeward’s take on leading trends like nearshoring and digitization.

Gerd Leonhard, CEO, The Futures Agency and Founder, The Good Future Project, will talk about Exponential Change in the Age of AI: Digitization, Decarbonization and Reformation. Leonhard will share his expertise about digital ethics, AI, human-centric technology and sustainability.

Academy-Award-nominated Actor Jeremy Renner will be the focus of: The Heart of An Avenger: A Conversation with Jeremy Renner. The star of The Avengers, Mission Impossible and Bourne Legacy movies, and other films, was nearly killed in a snowplow accident in January 2023. He’ll talk about a project he launched during his long recovery: Rennervations, which involves overhauling decommissioned public buses and trucks into custom-built vehicles for children’s charities.

John Paxton, CEO of MHI, will give attendees a preview of the 2024 MHI Annual Industry Report. Learn about supply chain trends and digital technologies that are transforming supply chains from Paxton, Wanda Johnson of Deloitte and a panel of manufacturing and supply chain thought leaders.

MHI INDUSTRY NIGHT

Comedian Colin Jost, writer and Weekend Update co-anchor on NBC’s Saturday Night Live, is the headliner for the MHI Industry Night, Wednesday, March 13 from 4:30 PM – 7:00 PM.  Tickets are $50 and include beer, wine and hors d’oeuvres. The door prize for the event? A “a trip of a lifetime” vacation for two valued at $30,000, to a location of the winner’s choice.

AFTER HOURS IN ATLANTA

When it’s time to take a break from MODEX 2024, you can catch some sunshine at one of Atlanta’s many green spaces, visit a historic site, buy unique items at one of the city’s unique shops and – of course – dine out. Atlanta regards itself as a “foodie” city, and you’ll find plenty of southern specialties, barbecue, fried chicken, fried green tomatoes, peach cobbler, Georgia catfish, ribs and pecan pie. You might also consider making time for the Atlanta Botanical Garden, whose 30 acres of greenery include a 25-foot-tall Earth Goddess sculpture, with flowing locks and a waterfall cascading from her hand. The Atlanta History Center, one of the Southeast’s largest history museums, is also worth a visit.
